RCE Barcelona is organizing a 5 day seminar on sustainable organisations from 4 to 8 Februray 2008, as part of the Master of Science in Sustainability which starts in the Technical University of Catolonia in October 2007.
 
Objectives
 
The seminar has two key aims:
  • Transfer knowledge, tools and experience between the Masters students and professionals working in diverse sectors on strategies to contribute to sustainable development in their processes, internal management, communication and stakeholder engagement processes..
  • Design strategies to overcome complex, multi-disciplinary challenges to sustainable development for organisations in the region.
Target audience
 
The seminar is targeted at the following groups:
  • Founding members and members of RCE
  • Students of the Sustainability Masters at the UPC (1.5 credits for seminar participation and 3.5 credits for follow up project work)
  • People with interest or responsibility promoting environmental management, corporate social responsibility o sustainability strategies within their organisations
  • Public sector professionals promoting sustainability, through Agenda 21 programmes or other participatory mechanisms
  • Associations and NGOs promoting sustainable management in their own organisations and externally
